Political Lunch 09-17-07

September 17, 2007

For Lunch today, Iowa democrats serve up fried steak a la Tom Harkin, McCain gets pressed for a little straight talk, Giuliani tries to blend in (again) on race day, and we ponder the claims of Hillary’s healthcare critics.

I think you missed the point about Hurricane Katrina it wasn’t that the Rep. were in charge it was that burocrates were in charge.

They may have missed the point, but I’m pretty sure you missed spelling class that day…bureaucrats.

Well I thought it was a cheap shot from Robert.

The Democratic Mayor and Governor in NO had much to do with the initial fiasco.

I didn’t feel it was cheap at the time, but maybe it did come a little too easily. Still, while there are plenty of people responsible for what went wrong, when it comes to public perception, the disaster has been widely associated with Romney’s own party. It’s unusual to see any candidate highlight an issue that has damaged his own party. If Obama or Clinton said “I don’t want this run by the same people who brought us the WTO”, I’d take the same shot at them.

Apart from that, I’m just happy to see the comments flowing. Thanks to all for your feedback.
